Today we announced our $10m seed round co-led by Activant and Headline to bring the AI computer for business to every company, making them instantly AI-native - and we’re sharing the pitch deck we used to do it.
Modern businesses run on dozens of disconnected tools. Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira, Stripe, Slack, Notion, and more. Critical context is scattered across systems, and humans play the role of "middleware," manually stitching together data and workflows.
We believe the next generation of enterprise software is a horizontal intelligence layer that sits across all systems of record, continuously analyzes context, autonomously executes workflows, and builds what you need.
Adapt is the AI Computer for Business. A single system that connects to every tool, understands your business context, and takes action on your behalf.
Enterprise AI isn’t built for knowledge workers
The first wave of Enterprise AI generated a lot of hype but suffered in practice. Vendors compete in narrow niches with interchangeable offerings, and their seat-based pricing incentivizes a crisp sales process over knowledge workers’ success. The real power of AI is never actually realized because efficiency-per-seat is prioritized over cutting-edge intelligence.
The core challenges remain the same:
• Fragmented data and tools exist across every department
• Manual coordination work burns countless hours
• Recurring "Monday morning" tasks consume teams' time
• Scattered critical knowledge with no system that truly "understands" the business
Knowledge workers continue to do 80-90% of their work manually across tools and siloes, and, at best, 10-20% of their work on ChatGPT.com or Claude.ai chats in isolation.
Humans end up as the glue: updating fields, copying data between apps, interpreting dashboards across silos – acting as middleware between systems.
Introducing the AI computer, purpose-built for work
Adapt takes a different approach.
From the beginning, we’ve been building Adapt as a horizontal system that connects to all your tools, unifies your knowledge, and autonomously runs workflows across them.
It closes the loop from data → insight → action, so that routine work can be handled by software instead of by email threads and manual effort.
How it works
Adapt can be triggered in many ways: on a schedule, by events in other systems, via API calls, or simply by asking a question in Slack
When a task is triggered, Adapt's agent spins up a dedicated compute sandbox to handle it, like booting up a fresh cloud computer that can use whatever tools or models are needed.
Within this sandbox, the Adapt agent can:
• Fetch data from any connected system
• Call external APIs
• Run code or SQL
• Install libraries or spin up microservices in real time
• Break complex tasks into subtasks and coordinate multiple AI models
Adapt goes beyond summaries and suggestions to update records, create tickets, or write analyses – it does whatever the workflow requires.
Compute-first architecture
Adapt's core is a compute-first agentic architecture. Every task spins up an isolated mini-computer enabling the agents to write and run code, call APIs, query databases, and orchestrate sub-agents.
This approach prioritizes accuracy and enterprise reliability over one-shot answers. The system is model-agnostic and tool-agnostic: it routes subtasks to the best-fit models and cross-checks outputs against source data before finalizing work.
In enterprise settings, a "mostly right" answer isn't good enough if it triggers a wrong decision. Adapt's emphasis on verification, audit logs, and isolation of execution makes it trustworthy for mission-critical workflows.
Embedded in operations
Adapt plugs into the operational heartbeat of a company. It is triggered by real events: a deal closing, an error spike, a support ticket. And it embeds directly in the tools where work happens.
By living in the day-to-day workflow, Adapt becomes indispensable. Usage grows as it automates more recurring work.
At the same time, Adapt continuously absorbs knowledge. It connects to every major system and builds institutional memory over time, absorbing best practices and preferences unique to the business.
Naturally and quickly, Adapt becomes the source of truth and coordination for how the company runs.
Instantly AI-native
We believe every company can become instantly AI-native, and every worker can go home feeling like they had the best day of their career. No lengthy procurement. No minimum contracts. Sign up, connect your tools, and get frontier intelligence that answers, acts, and builds, all on day one.
A few things make this possible and timely:
Foundation models have reached a tipping point. AI can now handle non-trivial reasoning, tool use, and code generation, enabling the kind of agentic workflows Adapt runs.
Software is API-first. Virtually all modern software now provides APIs and integration points, meaning a system like Adapt can connect and operate across tools in a way that wasn't possible a few years ago.
Enterprise demand for consolidation. Buyers have run many isolated AI experiments. They've seen the promise, but also the fragmentation. There is growing demand for a unified solution, a platform to standardize on, rather than a dozen siloed AI widgets.
Adapt brings a neutral (and model-agnostic) approach to the problem that works across the heterogeneous stacks companies have today.
Usage-based AI pricing
Any team can start using Adapt immediately, without negotiating licenses or seats. You only pay for what you use, and we route your tasks to the best model for the job.
Adapt can be enabled for an entire organization without incremental cost per employee. Your costs only increase as usage (and subsequent value) increase. A single champion can use Adapt for one workflow in a public Slack channel, and as others see the results, they can start tagging it, too.
Real product momentum
The speed and energy at Adapt right now is incredible. The team is firing on all cylinders. Customers are building things they never thought possible. And Fast Company just featured us, amazing!
In the past week alone, we've launched two major capabilities that define where enterprise AI is headed.
Our internal app builder makes it easy for anyone to build an on-demand dashboard, internal tool, or custom UI across multiple business tools. Adapt writes the code, spins up the container, and hands you a preview URL that you can revisit at any time.
Imagine software that builds itself for whatever you need, with the context of your business, on demand. It’s vibe coding for work (and occasionally for play, too.)

Earlier this week, we shipped support for Skills, so teams can encode their institutional knowledge into reusable packages that Adapt loads on-demand. This includes playbooks, data schemas, and brand guidelines. You can share or import a skill with Adapt, and it will apply that expertise across every conversation.
This is only the beginning. We ship tens of times a day, and while our engineers are our most frequent code committers, everyone at Adapt builds Adapt.
The journey ahead
We're building what we believe will be a generational company at the center of a massive shift in enterprise software.
We’re building the AI-native business platform that every company will need.
The market is enormous and growing. The pain points are universal. And we’ve seen that customers need what Adapt offers.
We invite you to sign up, invite your whole organization. No per-seat pricing. Just intelligence, everywhere you work. And we’d love to have you join us on the journey.
